In 2008, Cristian Moraru and Catalin Mitroi initiated together with the jazz club Green Hours in Bucharest the first international „club” jazz festival outdoor in Romania: GreenJazzFest (www.greenjazzfest.ro)

They initiated also a series of other unique events, like the first solo piano outdoor in Romania with the famous Polish pianist Leszek Mozdzer or the series of jazz concerts „MODERN SOLO PIANO” in cooperation with the National Theatre of Bucharest, the last project started in 2010.

In 2011, considering Markus Wirth’s kind support over the past years and his passion for jazz, the 3 founding members decided to establish a jazz cultural association: JAZZ.RO
